This box is in Tasmanian myrtle, a warm red timber with sometimes a pale straw area near the sap. We designed into the traditional treasure chest shape a slope in the lid joint to better display the bottle when open. The floor in this case is curved and the fit is so snug that the bottle is held tight when the latch is closed. This box represents a general design that in every case is tailored to suit the intended bottle. The lid carries the logo or other message and could be inlaid, cameo carved or pyrographed.
