Wine and wood - the happy marriage One focus of our work here at Glyph that has demonstrated a natural partnership in excellence is our wine-related range. Perhaps it is the soft warmth of our real-wood product, the elegance of its design, its fine craftsmanship and its association with history and traditional winemaking; whatever the reason, connoisseurs everywhere love it. Our presentation tubes and hinged 'treasure chests' for wine bottles (to magnum size) win the admiration of all. Turned stoppers and corkscrews in Australian river red gum, from our local hills, have attracted high praise, especially charming with their hand-carved cameo enhancements. Wooden covers for menus, tasting notes, cellaring records are both robust and attractive. But the innovation of ours that invariably invokes the admiration of even the most casual observer is our hand made wooden wine label. These are made 'in the round' to suit the particular shape of the bottle. For authorised owners we have successfully interpreted in wood the paper production label of their wine; for executive gifts, anniversaries, limited editions etc. it makes more sense to commission a beautiful specific label. Enhancements include inlaid elements, carved detail or pyrography and can include text and other fine linework. We can make single labels but substantial economies can be achieved with as few as 20 labels; of course we guarantee the quality of every piece with remarkably accurate reproducibility no matter what the quantity. Corporate customers can expect a faithful representation of their logo. |
